Before the arrival of the Taliban in Faryab province, two wheelchair basketball teams continued to exercise three days a week. But with the formation of the new system of Talibanism, a series of restrictions were imposed especially on the daily lives of women. This made it impossible for women to leave their homes as before. And continue their daily work. However, the Taliban created a series of facilitations for women to continue working, especially in the field of health and some other vital issues. However, women could not achieve their full freedom. The female wheelchair basketball team consists of ten people. They practiced continuously three days a week. In the CBR-OWPC allocated sports gymnasium, they were paid 100 to 200 afghanis (depending on the distance from their house). This amount of money was both spent on rent and some of the players' own expenses were covered by saving it. And this class of women, all of whom are people with disabilities, are in a very bad economic situation. The players of the female team could not continue training for almost a month. In repeated calls, they complained about the poor economic situation. We, the staff of CBR-OWPC, decided to give them a quantity of raw materials including: rice, oil, sugar, salt, tomatoes paste, washing powder, biscuits. This assistance kit was prepared for the families of 20 wheelchair basketball players, both men and women.
